Mannington M-Grip™ Flooring Adhesive
Build your flooring installation on a dependable bond with Mannington M-Grip. This high-strength, modified hard-set acrylic adhesive transitions into a permanent bond, helping securely lock flooring in place. The low-VOC, low-odor formula offers excellent plasticizer migration resistance and is rated for residential, light commercial, and Main Street applications. Select the adhesive application method and spread rate specified for your particular Mannington flooring. Available packaging includes 1-gallon and 4-gallon pails.

Substrates and preparation
Approved substrates include APA underlayment-grade plywood and OSB, cementitious patch and leveler, anhydrite screeds, cement backer board, concrete, and qualifying hydronic radiant-heated subfloors not exceeding 85°F. Existing well-bonded, non-cushion-backed vinyl, tile, and sheet flooring is limited to one layer. Gypsum and lightweight concrete require Mannington Universal Primer.
Substrates must be structurally sound, dry, clean, and free of bond-interfering contaminants. Do not use on chemically cleaned substrates. Maintain flooring, adhesive, floor, and room temperatures at 60-95°F and relative humidity at 30-65% for 48 hours before, during, and after testing and installation. Follow the flooring-specific instructions for substrate preparation, tool selection, spread rate, and installation suitability.
Application and traffic
Trowel application has a stated flash time of 10-30 minutes and working time up to 2.5 hours, with adhesive transfer required. Roll flooring with a minimum 75-lb three-section floor roller. For the specified 3/8-inch nap roller method, allow 20-40 minutes of flash time until the adhesive darkens and becomes tacky; working time is up to 2.5 hours. Times vary with conditions. Allow 24 hours before heavy traffic and 48 hours before rolling-load traffic.
Storage and safety
Store unopened containers in a cool, dry area away from direct sunlight at 50-90°F, and protect from freezing. Shelf life is two years when properly stored unopened; elevated storage temperatures reduce shelf life. Keep out of reach of children.
