This African Amendiom 9/16 x 5" Engineered Hardwood is an exotic species. All exotic species are known to patina or change color due to being highly photosensitive.

AF015 African Amendiom 9/16 x 5" Engineered Hardwood

The most dramatic change will occur in the first 3 months and can take up to a year to fully change. Your boxed or bundled material may be visibly lighter than your initial sample. Best practice is to leave all flooring exposed after installation so that natural light can start the patina effect. This patina will result in a richer deeper color that is highly desired.

Smooth tone color

This African Amendiom sample is lighter in color and beautiful compared to the Butter Run. This would be the lightest that I would go in flooring.
